Deanna Solomon

I was actually training for this race last year but had to postpone due to a horrific bike crash resulting in five fractured ribs and a severe concussion.  It was devastating to pull out of the race but I learned a lot about proper recovery and nutrition.

Good luck with Ironman Canada, sure you’ll break the 12hr mark.
Also, apologies, thought your injury last year was another shoulder….hope the ribs have healed ! makes me remember my rugby years so I can sympathize …..don’t fall again !! It will hurt again…

Always was extremely inspired by your dedication to the sport you love so much. Always did pay a lot more attention that perhaps you thought I did. I still do.

Forgiveness is my healer of choice.

Hey, finally filled in the ‘herb patch’…how’s that for hope….

    Deanna,
SIncerely, a very, very big WOW !!! and CONGRATULATIONS. I followed your progress on Sunday at IM Canada 2010. I know how you wanted to break the 12 hr mark and you almost did. 12 hrs, 20 mins is quite incredible. I do hope you celebrated later with icecream and chocolate covered almonds….ha, ha….
BTW, the herb patch for whatever reason doesn’t want to re-grow properly….how weird is that ?
